2. Establishment Classification Notification
The establishment has carried out its calculations by applying the summation rule within the scope of the BEKRA Regulation and has been notified as a Lower-Tier Establishment to the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change of the Republic of Türkiye. Within this scope, the Major Accident Prevention Policy Document, Major Accident Scenario Document, and Hazardous Substance Emergency Response Card have been prepared.
3. Description Of The Establishment’s Activities
The establishment is located in Adana Province, Sarıçam District, within the Adana Sabancı Organized Industrial Zone, at İstiklal Avenue No:20, registered under block 15654, parcel 8. It operates on a total land area of 50,000 m², with 14,250 m² of enclosed area.
The facility conducts agricultural-based chemical production activities, including the production of 99.5% purity ethyl alcohol (from corn), distillation by-product feed, carbon dioxide (from corn), and crude corn oil.

5. Actions To Be Taken In The Event Of A Major Accident
The accident area must be avoided, and entry is strictly prohibited unless authorized by designated personnel. Visitors present at the facility during the incident should be assisted in evacuation, and all announced instructions from emergency and rescue services must be followed.
Windows and doors must be closed. Vehicle air conditioning, ventilation systems, and windows must be shut off. Due to the risk of explosion, open flames (e.g. cigarettes) and ignition sources (e.g. static electricity) must be avoided. Personal protective equipment specified by authorized personnel must be used.
In the event of a major industrial accident, emergency procedures will be implemented and the surrounding community will be informed depending on the nature of the incident. Instructions from authorized personnel or AFAD must be awaited and strictly followed.
6. Actions Not To Be Taken In The Event Of A Major Accident
Emergency telephone lines for fire and police services must not be unnecessarily occupied. Untrained individuals must not attempt to intervene. Restricted or prohibited areas must not be entered, and all instructions provided by authorized personnel must be followed.
Entry into accident areas without the required personal protective equipment is prohibited. Precautions against ignition sources must not be neglected due to the possibility of an explosive atmosphere.
7. Managing Major Industrial Accidents And Cooperation With Emergency Services
In accordance with the Regulation, preventive and limiting safety measures have been implemented for major accident scenarios identified within the establishment. These measures include process control systems, alarms, physical protection measures, fire suppression systems, and gas detection systems.
To ensure the sustainability of safety, regular information exchange is maintained with internal departments, neighboring establishments, emergency service units, Provincial Disaster and Emergency Directorates, and relevant authorities such as the Provincial Directorate of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change.
